Field to Stream - Celebrating the Local Harvest
An array of delectable dishes and divine local wines made up the menu for last Sunday’s gala dinner. Under the supervision of master chefs Chris and Barb Luther and Theresa Tait-Day, the evening was a celebration of local and traditional tastes, from prime-rib roast with wild mushroom sauce to roast salmon with new potatoes in eulachon oil. Eugen Wittwer, manger of the Northwest Premium Meat Co-op and Dawn Hanson of BC Healthy Communities were both on hand to offer perspective on our need as a community to support and safeguard our local food supply.
